Today it was sunny, really cold but sunny. Even though I have loads of studio work to do I decided to make the best of this rarest of days and do some work outside.
Grabbing my gear I took a short walk through the village and out on the hills at the back of Pilton. There I set up my drawing board and drew the Glastonbury Tor.
The Tor sits in the Vale of Avalon, It is a fantastic view and no wonder the legends say King Arthur is buried here.
I suppose the drawing took me about an hour or so to complete and of course no way catches the real beauty of the site though I think you get the idea.
Interestingly the fore ground will soon be used as the one of the massive car parks for the Glastonbury festival in the summer. it will certainly be warmer then though I won’t hold out for the sun.
