A bit about Little Venice, London

Maida Vale is an approximately one square kilometre area situated in West London. Like most London areas, they seemed to have packed quite a bit including Little Venice.
Browning’s Pool is at the junction of the Grand Union Canal, and the Regent’s Canal. It is enclosed by mature trees with white painted stucco Regency terraced houses beyond. The name is said to be attributed to the poet Robert Browning who lived nearby in Warwick Crescent.

These days, it is pretty affluent after enduring a miserable decline following WW2, the restored canals are lined with traditional narrow boats, and Dutch barges. Many are residential, although a fair few are cafes and restaurants which are open all the year round. Just like the rest of London!
