About this drawing
I was drawing in Broadway Market in Hackney, London and noticed a man taking a photo of one of the buildings.
He had a dog at his side, and this dog was craning its head right around intently staring at another dog shuffling over the canal bridge sporting a rather cumbersome vets cone.
It is very difficult to get into the mind of another animal though I know for certain that dog was thinking. “Why the hell has that other dog got that cone on its head?”
I just had to draw them.
The pencil study is 15cm x 21cm, signed and mounted on acid free card.
I send out my newsletter when I feel I have got something to say which is of genuine interest, usually once or twice a month. Included in each newsletter is one free drawing or Giclee print give-away. The winner is selected at random from those who express an interest in the drawing.
The newsletter will be sent out on the 24th September 2015. I look forward to your sign up.

I learn so much from your drawings and paintings Liam….Line weight is my ‘Eureka’ moment for this one. i think I’m already signed up for your newsletter…does this reply qualify to get my name added to the drawer just in case my name gets pulled out in this drawing pottery? Couldn’t find anywhere else to officially sign up.

I love anything with dogs because I am a pet artist. Mostly dogs anyways. I’m all the way in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia so I doubt you can send it to me here. Just wanted to say I absolutely LOVE your drawings. They’re amazing.
Hi Gladys,
Well one month it went all the way to Seattle. If you win, I will make sure you get it.

Hi Liam. I tried draw in your style this weekend ( a cottage in Ireland) but failed miserably- i’m too messy! I’d love to know your working methods. Do you ever teach classes?
Hi Deb,
Even I find it tricky!
I am not sure I could teach what i do to be honest. Its a bit on instinct really. I choose what i want to show and adjust everything accordingly.
Does that help?
Regards
Liam
