I started collecting junk from charity shops. Each of these pieces often looks like it was a gift at some time. The porcelain windmill as an example, a keepsake from a trip to Holland in the 60’s?

 

Many of these items may have been greatly cherished at some point and now because they are not worth much they end up in a Charity shop. Well I have decided to venerate them in traditional compositions and to paint them in a way I feel Re-investing value of a different sort. Tat and nostalgia…
